This time of year is when friends and family come together and enjoy the blessing of life, health and fellowship. But let us remember there are so many who don’t have the joy of family, there are so many who don’t have the happiness of friends and there are so many who pray for good health, a hot meal and a warm place to lay their heads.
Take a moment and think about all the things that you wish you had and now think about all that God has blessed you with. Now think about all those who have nothing but their name and a few clothes on their bodies.
If you are reading this then you are truly blessed in some way.
It is our hope that you cherish the moments in your life and may you have enough happiness to make you appreciate life, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy. Be thankful for the lessons that you learn and the experience that you gain.
Take time to brighten someone's day by sharing a smile, positive words and everlasting fellowship. Never forget those who have touched your life in a positive way and think of those who made you smile when you really need it. Cherish those who make you see the brighter side of things when you are really down and rejoice about the friendships you appreciate.
There are many who don’t know where they will sleep tonight or where they will eat today. There are many who wish for death because of a sickness or because they cannot deal with the mountains of everyday life. So as we set down to enjoy our Christmas dinners with our families, friends and love ones, let us remember those who are alone with nothing to eat, those who are alone because they no longer have a family. Let us be thankful for all the blessing that God has given us. Just take a moment and think that in a flicker of an eye you could lose it all and then you would be like the millions who have nothing but their name and the clothes on their backs.
Be wise enough to know that with just a little faith God can make the poor rich and he can make the rich poor. He can do what no man can do and undo what any man has done. Remember and understand that all receive God’s blessing no matter who we are, what we do, where we live. No matter what we have done or did not do God’s blessing is with us. But God’s favor is reserved for those who believe in Hope, Faith and Charity. His favor is with those who take the time to help others. As you enjoy your blessing not just on Christmas but every day, cherish the moments in your life, share your blessing and be a blessing to others.
We wish you a safe and enjoyable Christmas and A New Year full of blessing.
