Brief History
Georgia Supreme Council Thirty-Third - Degree Masons, USA
The Supreme Council 33 Degree Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Southern Jurisdiction, USA (Known as the Mother Supreme Council of the World) was established in Charleston South Carolina year 1801.
On May 21, 1814 in New York a second Supreme Council 33 Degree Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Northern Jurisdiction, USA (Known as the Father Supreme Council of the World) was organized.
The Supreme Council 33 Degree State of Georgia was formed and installed on September 25, 1989 in the city of Augusta Georgia at the Most Worshipful Smooth Ashlar Grand Lodge Session Honorable Norman Woodard, 33 Degree National Supreme Council of Nine and Inspector General (Rev) Roosevelt Franklin, 33 Degree Council of Nine , Whereas with approval of the National Supreme Council 330 Mason USA. The name of this Supreme Council 33 Degree Mason.
Be It Known as the Georgia Thirty - Third Degree Centurion Club.
It is the mission of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in and about the United State of America, to improve its members and enhance the communities in which they live by teaching and emulating the principles of Brotherly Love, Tolerance, Charity, and Truth while actively embracing high social, moral, and spiritual vales including fellowship, compass, and dedication to God, family and country.
Further, our order is more than a fraternity of good fellow, engaged in benevolent practices of friendship and relief. It is an aggressively active or millant order, a knighthood devoted to the cause of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. To establish righteousness and ordain mercy, to protect all the weak and combat all dogmas or doctrines that would imprison the human spirit. This is the mission of Scottish Rite Masonry.
As Thirty – Third Degree Masons our purpose is to help improve the lives of Children by providing quality care for selected Orthopedic and related Neurodevelopmental and Musculoskeletal Conditions, as well as Specific Learning Disorders. We strive to improve the care of Children Worldwide through Innovative Research and Teaching Program.
Scottish Rite Creed of Freemasonry, Human progress is our cause, Liberty of thought our Supreme Wish, Freedom of Conscience our Mission, and the Guarantee of Equal Rights to all People Everywhere our Ultimate Goal.
As Thirty Third Degree Masons in far the United State of America, what we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.
